AUS er með sex verkefni á fullum EVS styrk í Póllandi. Þar sem allt er innifalið, húsnæði, matur, tryggingar, vasapeningur tungumálakennsla, flugstyrkur og svo margt margt fleira!

Hver sem er á aldrinum 18-30 ára getur sótt um.

PROJECT 1: Experiment Science Centre

Location: Gdynia, Poland

Activity duration: 12 months (1 Feb 2019 – 31 Jan 2020)

Hosting organization: Centre for Youth Co-operation and Mobility, Gdynia, Poland

Requirements: The volunteer should be communicative and open for new experiences, creative and inventive, interested in methods of active education, open for people from other countries and cultures, and like to co-operate and work in groups.

The project will take place at EXPERYMENT Science Centre, an institution where volunteers can spend time and work with people of different ages and nationalities on an interactive exhibition. Find out more and apply!

PROJECT 2: Foundation of Social Changes Creative

Location: Gdynia, Poland

Activity duration: 12 months (1 Feb 2019 – 31 Jan 2020)

Hosting organization: Fundacja Zmian Społecznych “KREATYWNI”

Requirements: Volunteers should not be afraid to work in conflicted and divided environments, they should be interested in doing a job that is a blend of culture and art and aims to solve social problems. 

The project will take place at an active citizens’ center called “Apteka” and aims to build a strong local community. The priority is to provide activities for people facing and endangered by social exclusion – through socio-therapy, street-working outreach, and animating the local community (children, youth, and adults alike). Find out more and apply!

PROJECT 3: ADAPA Foundation

Location: Gdynia, Poland

Activity duration: 12 months (1 Feb 2019 – 31 Jan 2020)

Hosting organization: Centre for Youth Co-operation and Mobility, Gdynia, Poland

Requirements: The project welcomes anyone who is open-minded, understanding, and tolerant of those who differ from the most. It is welcomed if the volunteer is interested in therapy for persons with Autism Spectrum and other developmental disorders.

ADAPA Foundation works with adults with Autism and other developmental disorders and it is a basis for the Occupational Therapy Workshops (OTW) that are designed to offer training on occupational and social skills to the participants in the most practical manner. The volunteer will be able to work directly with therapists in these workshops, helping them in order to perform a safer therapy. Find out more and apply!

PROJECT 4: Dogtor Foundation

Location: Gdynia, Poland

Activity duration: 12 months (1 Apr 2019 – 31 Mar 2020)

Hosting organization: Dogtor Foundation

Requirements: Applicants with a friendly attitude toward animals, who like working with children and disabled people, full of creativity, honesty, and openness are especially welcome. Great communication skills are a must.

Dogtor Foundation is involved in dog therapy – a form of activity aimed at people with physical and mental disabilities and those suffering from other dysfunctions and illnesses. The staff and dogs work mainly with disabled children (e.g. with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy etc.) All activities take place in schools, kindergartens, homes for children, hospitals and other special institutions, as well as at the Dogtor Foundation’s headquarters in Gdynia. The volunteer will take part in the whole organization’s life, interacting with customers, assisting therapists during workshops and group sessions, preparing and disseminating informational and promotional materials, helping in office and administrative tasks, etc. Find out more and apply!

PROJECT 5: City Public Library in Rumia

Location: Gdynia, Poland

Activity duration: 12 months (1 Apr 2019 – 31 Mar 2020)

Hosting organization: City Public Library in Rumia

Requirements: The volunteer should be interested in and able to deal with social media and graphic design, organizing cultural events and engaging in activities such as art, music or acting. 

The library implements interdisciplinary activities connected with literature, music, visual arts, and multimedia, arising from the needs of the local community. Its guests are mostly children and young people, families and older people. The volunteer will work mainly in the Culture Station and assist in organizing meetings with writers, travelers, and other interesting people, music concerts, theater performances, conferences, workshops (theater, philosophy, photography, dance), library lessons, etc. Find out more and apply!

PROJECT 6: City Public Library in Gdynia

Location: Gdynia, Poland

Activity duration: 12 months (1 Apr 2019 – 31 Mar 2020)

Hosting organization: City Public Library in Gdynia

Requirements: The volunteer should be communicative and open for new experiences, creative and inventive, interested in methods of active education, open for people from other countries and cultures and willing to co-operate and work in groups. Being interested in literature and librarian’s tasks or some artistic skills would be a positive asset taken into consideration during the recruitment process.

Volunteers will work with the local community in one branch of the City Public Library in Gdynia, which is a hive of activity and a great place for the local community to meet, learn new things and have the use of many facilities. Find out more and apply!
